Little Lins!

At 10 weeks old, we started placing Ava in the bebe pod. It helps her sit up and build muscles before she can sit up on her own. She wobbles in it and tends to tip to the right… it’s hard not to giggle

And she is still obsessed with our clock. It sometimes gets more smiles that we do…

So we took her to Target to make her dreams come true.

Any day now, Ava is supposed to start reaching for things. I tried to tempt her with a monkey but it was a no go.

Slowly but surely, Ava’s hair is getting thicker and longer…

Maybe she will have a pony tail by next week

And last but not least, Ava and Diego finally met. They spent the day drooling under the baby gyms and almost holding hands.

At 9 weeks, we had a busy week shopping with Michelle for her birthday and trying on sunglasses.

We also enrolled in a Mommy and Me Pilates class which is only a few blocks away.

Ava had fun but what she prefers more is sitting in her swing and smiling at the blue elephant. She’s not really into the mobile up above, just the blue elephant. She also loves the clock on the wall.

We only have 3 weeks left before we all have to go to work and daycare so we brushed up on our computer skills too.

Oh, and after being sick and not being able to bottle fed her, Ava took the bottle without complaints this week.

I guess she just needed a break from it.

Ava turned 2 months this week. Here she is at 2 months and 6 minutes old exactly.

This was a difficult week for all of us. I got the stomach flu and Ava got shots. She got 4 in the leg.

The doctor was impressed at her head holding abilities and that she could roll over from that position.

Oh, and Ava isn’t the only one who enjoys her rain forest jungle gym.

This past weekend was our first time away from Ava. We ended up going to Novi Split’s CD release party. It was a blast. But I must admit, it was a bit hard to do. I was expecting for it to a hard mentally but had no idea that it would affect me physically also. For some reason, my arms really started to hurt. Like I missed holding Ava. Cheesy, i know, but it’s true.

David did a great job singing his heart out. He also announced that he was a uncle to little Ava prior to last song of the evening.

And Carrie and Darla hosted a great party as they always do

My parents didn’t sleep much that evening even though Ava did not wake up during our absence… thanks to the sleep sounds she makes. Who knew babies laugh in their sleep.

Rudy was there too. She ran so fast that she looks like a ghost in this picture

My grandma Dinka also spent the night. I really don’t remember the last time she spent the night at my parents house. My great grandma Ivka used to all the time during my childhood and I have the fondest memories from those times. I can’t wait for Ava to have similar memories from her great grandmas too.
