Mila: 41 weeks…
Our little Mila is now 41 weeks old! And is cute as ever!!

And this week she officially hates eating baby food so big girl food it is. Here she is waiting patiently for her scrambled eggs. And an only child at breakfast today. Her big sister is at “school”. Mila didn’t seem to mind…

… because she knows that her sister will be back in no time at all.

And hand-holding time can resume.

I think Mila is loving her house-not-on-wheels. She has plenty of room to use tiny chairs as walkers.

Plenty of room to hone her crawling skills.

And just like Ava, Mila is in love with the knobs on this cabinet. I wonder how long it will be before she discovers her reflection in the silver knobs?

Mila takes piano lessons from a hula dancing instructor.

And the lessons have paid off. Look at her go!

We took her to the beach this week and let her actually sit in the sand. Surprisingly, sand didn’t end up in her mouth. Well, not to much.

But all the following times we let her play with sand didn’t go as smoothly. Yup. Sand in the mouth. Especially since sand sticks so easily to those two fingers she loves.

Mila is still in love with animals. Especially dogs. As soon as she sees an animal she immediately tries to get our attention.

She is also loving her highchair. Lots of room to pick up her big girl food… and she loves throwing pieces off the edge too. Troublemaker.

She also discovered our bookshelf. Let me re-phrase that. She also discovered how to take ALL the books out of the bookshelf.

This week also included her 9-month check-up. Her stats were: weight 17 lbs 12 oz (26%), length 29″ (88%) and head 18″ (89%). The most surprising part of the visit is that her weight dropped like 50% (percentile-wise). So our job for the next few months is to fatten her back up to her normal percentage.

Even though this isn’t her first time at the Clubhouse, this is probably her first time “seeing” it. The lady at the door asked me if Mila plays and I said not really… so Mila got in for free. And then this happened.

Sleeping at home isn’t going so smoothly. Lots of night awakenings and naps are tough. But as soon as Mila gets in the car, she passes out.

How cute is this? (Stop rolling your eyes Deets!)

But the sleeping issue might be due to these two. Hello top teeth. So nice to finally meet you!
